Straight Out of Italy

In 2021, we had our first experience with foreign exchange students that played sports. We had Kristian Agenes-Pagh, and Jakob Khars and now we have Alberto Boscaro from Italy. Boscaro has been amazing thus far in the boys soccer season. Although he arrived late, Boscaro has already planned his four goals for this season.

He is more laid back than Jakob and AP were and, although they were good teammates, Alberto Boscaro is a far better teammate. Quoting Alberto, "My favorite teammates this year have been Kolt Bazzell and Landon Houk, but I feel like I’m meshing with all my teammates well.” He said back in his community in Italy, soccer was completely different, “Soccer is much more fast-paced in America, while in Italy it is more skilled and slowed down.”

When asked about the differences between school in America and school in Italy, Boscaro replied, “In Italy, we will sit in the same spot for five hours in school and learn in different subjects without moving.” With the Lakers regular season winding down, the team is in a good position to go far in the Regional Tournament. The Boys Laker Soccer has been one of the best teams in the region.
