Prank Youtube Channels

Mass production of entertainment in hopes of achieving “clout” on any of our various social media platforms has led to the creation of videos that could be described as dense. Among the worst of this content is prank YouTube channels. Not only are these videos unbelievable and played out with loud, enthusiastic clickbait titles and tacky thumbnails, they cannot distract from both the morality of these channels and the negative effects forced upon quality content creators.

Prank YouTube Channels are not only an annoyance to the watchers but also to the families who are exploited for subscribers. Despite how painful it is to watch a poorly planned prank, it is even worse to imagine that innocent family members must live in fear of being filmed during a time of vulnerability. The nature of these pranks is not commonly light-hearted; some common titles to run across are “Cheating Prank,” “Abusing My Girlfriend/Boyfriend Prank,” and more absurd issues that should not be a joking matter. Often, the target of the more harmless pranks are children. Obviously, these horrendous channels are irritating to more than just the victims—oh, I mean viewers.

You may have thought the atrocities ended at exploiting minors; unfortunately, you are mistaken. These click-thirsty “entertainers” can quickly produce a mass amount of content nobody praised nor requested. The flood of this content drowns creators who value the quality of work they put out, encouraging mindless creation and even repetition that could very well be to blame for our generation’s reputation for having a lack of creativity.

It is important to remember that repetitive creation, while attributable to the death of true creativity, can be enjoyed as a break from reasonable thinking. Raising the question: how awful can content become before an audience demands more?
