MSU Quad State

Students involved in the Calloway County Laker Band auditioned for the Quad State Honor Band, a festival held by Murray State University. Students auditioned for a placement in one of the four divisions of the Quad State Honor Band.  

Symphony Band 

  • Hannah Nix placed 1st chair Alto Sax. 

  • Lee Gore placed 3rd chair Percussion. 

Blue Band 

  • Abby Kay placed 10th chair Trumpet. 

  • Bryson Barger placed 8th chair Trombone. 

  • Ella Tucker placed 3rd chair Euphonium. 

  • Sam Rudy placed 1st chair Percussion. 

Gold Band 

  • Carrie Beane placed 6th chair Flute. 

  • Lydia Crawford placed 8th chair Clarinet. 

  • Kaylee Kernell placed 9th chair Clarinet. 

  • Zuri Conner placed 13th chair Clarinet. 

  • Ryan Edmonson placed Timpani. 

Green Band 

  • Annabelle Mohler placed 8th chair Flute. 

  • Victor Clayton placed 1st chair Tuba. 

  • Jackson Roberts placed 1st chair Mallet Percussion. 

These students’ hard work and determination were key factors in their accomplishments. On behalf of the Laker Review, congratulations; we are immensely proud of each and every one of you. 

Casey Hileman

Casey is a senior at Calloway County High school. She enjoys expressing herself through color guard, band, and even painting. Faith, family and friends are important factors that make her who she is today. She works hard towards her goals involving all areas of her life. She joined the Laker Review as a step towards her path to becoming a journalist. This year, she hopes to inspire others as well as making everyone’s voice heard.
