Senior Spotlight – The Leadership of Addi Schumacher
Addi Schumacher has been a member of the Calloway County Lady Lakers basketball and soccer teams since she was in sixth grade.
In high school, Schumacher was a key part in the success of the Lady Lakers soccer team. Addi was a star midfielder, compiling 13 goals and 4 assists her senior year. Schumacher was a key member of the varsity roster since she began high school. Schumacher was also one of the leaders of the soccer team, mostly leading by example. Many of her teammates have given Schumacher high remarks for her work ethic and willingness to do whatever she is asked. Schumacher will be continuing her soccer career at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. This accomplishment shows how hard Schumacher was willing to work throughout her entire high school career to put herself in a spot to play soccer in college.
Schumacher has one more year of high school basketball, and she is looking forward to making the most of it. Schumacher has been a key member of the varsity team since she was a sophomore and is coming off a season where she averaged 4.7 points and 1.6 rebounds. Schumacher will look to improve those numbers as she steps into more of a leadership and scoring role for the Lady Lakers. She is excited for the upcoming season looking to help the Lady Lakers compete for the district title.
